Patients wear each aligner for about two weeks and then switch to the next in the series. Patients receive a new set of aligners every six to eight weeks, with gradual adjustments made between steps in the treatment process. How Does Invisalign Work?

Your first Invisalign appointment is a crucial step that kickstarts your journey toward achieving a perfect smile. Highly advanced technology is utilized for Invisalign treatment, beginning with an in-depth scan of your teeth and bite to ensure precision and accuracy. These scans are then sent off to a specialized lab that focuses on creating custom-made aligners specifically for you.

The information from the scans is fed into a computer system that generates digital images showing how your teeth need to move over time to achieve proper alignment. This data guides the creation of unique sets of aligners customized for each individual patient's needs and preferences, making them comfortable and easy to wear.  

Each set must be worn for approximately two weeks before being replaced by another one in the series until all desired adjustments have been made. The number of aligner sets varies depending on individual treatments but typically ranges from 12-30 sets providing patients with effective results within their budget range. 

Invisalign’s customized clear aligners will reposition your teeth over time gradually. Every two weeks, as you switch to a new aligner, you will receive further instructions from the orthodontist on how to continue your treatment at home. You will check in with our orthodontist every six weeks to ensure your treatment is on track.

Because the aligners are removable, you can take them out to eat or brush your teeth. You can also remove them for a special event like a prom or a wedding. You’ll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before switching to the next set in the series. As your teeth shift into their proper positions, your confidence will soar!
